A Journey to the Northern Hubs!

On Saturday, February 24^th, Régis Perrin, Joseph Hubert and myself met the leaders of two churches in Lille, as well as those in Douai, Lens, Valenciennes, and Feignies. The work of FPC for the past few years in this large and densely populated region today allows us to consider the creation of “hubs,” or centers, of activity to share our resources for the implantation and strengthening of churches.

Together, we laid the groundwork for central “hubs” that would act in accordance with the work completed by FPC and APC. Then, with the involvement of everyone, we explored the most relevant ways to apply it today’s situation and future prospects.

So, we are moving towards the creation of two hubs, which would work in tandem with one director or a team of two (director and co-director). The first would bring together the APC Metropolitan Church in Lille, the Ch’tites Church in the network, and those in Lens and Douai. The second would unite those in Valenciennes, Feignies et, a little further, St. Quentin.

We still need to clarify the mission of and identify the director. The adventure will start with his/her installation and the establishment of the “hub” teams to carry out the vision and organize the centers of activity.
