Mission FPC
This practical and enriching training is aimed at those who wish to learn how to build authentic relationships with non-Christians and engage in spiritual conversations, while considering the French cultural context.
The goal of the weekend was to help participants live missionally in concrete situations that everyone can encounter daily: at work, in the neighborhood, or during community activities. The sessions addressed two key questions:
– How to build and maintain relationships with non-Christians?
– How to engage in spiritual conversations without forcing or imposing?
Participants particularly appreciated the small group discussions, practical activities, and the prayer walk around the OIKOS map. This tool helps identify one’s sphere of influence and pray for the people around them. This time was an opportunity to reflect on concrete actions to strengthen existing relationships and create new ones.
The weekend was marked by convivial moments such as aperitifs and shared meals, which were conducive to relational evangelism. The warm welcome and fun activities, including the board game workshop, demonstrated that it is possible to build bridges between believers and non-believers in simple and accessible settings.
What makes this training unique is its adaptation to the French culture, which is often resistant to direct evangelism approaches. Tools like “À votre avis” sparked deep discussions while respecting freedom of thought and individual pace. Participants shared their intention to reuse these materials in their local churches and personal circles.
On Sunday morning, it was reminded that evangelism finds its motivation in the worship of God. The message on holiness encouraged participants to live a coherent testimony: neither chameleon nor proselyte, but authentic and inspiring.
Participants praised the weekend’s organization, the diversity of teaching methods, and the relevance of the topics covered. Many expressed their desire to put the discovered tools, such as “À votre avis,” into practice to strengthen their personal commitment to relational evangelism.
