It is always a joy for the team to live these moments of growth, prayer and relaxation together. We took care to scrupulously follow all sanitary measures in effect so as not to help spread the virus. But it was important for us to come together again, to talk to each other, to encourage each other, and to pray for one another.
David Broussard, director of Impact France in the USA, our speaker, should have had to cross the Atlantic to provide Bible training. But due to the pandemic, his physical presence was replaced by a series of pre-recorded lectures on the theme of “Discovering divine resources.” But we were happy to be able to interact with David during a live video conference from the United States. These teaching sessions were an opportunity to reflect on the biblical view of money, its management, and the relationship between those receive and those who give – a relationship based off sharing, solidarity, and partnership. It was an opportunity to once again realize the kindness, generosity, and infinite wisdom of God.
The meeting ended early Wednesday afternoon. That same evening, our president announced a new lockdown lasting until at least December 1st. It was therefore all the more valuable to have been able to spend these three days together.
