As for myself, I took part as pilot of a pole in the APC Union. The seminar topic was “Reflecting on our ministries in network.” Eight church associations were represented by what are called “key actors in the network.” These eight associations represent some 500 local churches. The FEF Network is not Pentecostal but collaborates within the CNEF with church unions with differing theological emphases.
Within the FEF Network there is a definitely expressed desire to “Be and live the One Church.” The goal of the seminar was to work on concrete areas of collaboration between churches in the network, and we set out nine areas where we can work together: a united congress – regional groups – interchurch ministries on a national scale – church planting – communication, popularization, sharing resources, publicity – youth work – call to the ministry – prayer – church revitalisation – training.
There is ultimately no Universal Church without local churches but our local churches need to further together the expansion of God’s kingdom and look beyong the confines of the local church.
Within the FEF Network (and where appropriate in certain areas with the CNEF) we intend to develop a closer collaboration to demonstrate our unity so that the Gospel can further progress in our land.
