Mission FPC
Jeannot Gauggel, the director of the mission FPC/organization, recommended to the members of the church, Tetsuya (Tetsu in France) and Jeanne-Aimée as responsible missionaries for the implantation and growth of the church.
Tetsu, who is Japanese, found Jesus during his studies at university in Toyko in 2001. During his training course at the Institut Biblique de Genève, he made the acquaintance of his future wife, Jeanne-Aimée, a German. They married in 2006. Until 2009, they served the Lord and formed a ministry in Lens, then in Haguenau from 2009 to 2014. In 2014, Tetsu joined Freddy Neiss and worked as a part-time missionary with the l’Église Évangélique Le Rempart à Valenciennes. The rest of the time was occupied by his job as an assistant within a school. In 2018, the time came for Tetsu to move into a fulltime ministry position, at l’Église Évangélique Le Rempart à Valenciennes and for the FPC Nord team. Jeannot talked about Tetsu’s attachment to God and His Word, his gifts for teaching, and commended him for his efforts to integrate into French culture which is so different from Japanese.
Our director also announced the official departure of Freddy and Annette Niess in 2019. After 11 years of service, with responsibilities to the team and to the church in Valenciennes, they will slowly wrap up their current local engagements in order to prepare for their departure and give the church time to get used to the idea. They will stay available as needed for visits, preaching, and be present at the Christmas market…
This service was an occasion for several people to express their gratitude and affection to Freddy and Annette for their dedication and investment into the community and church over the years. Then there was a time for biblical sharing and prayer for the two couples, and for David, the deacon of the church, who bears responsibility with Tetsu.
