FPC General Assembly: Mission Accomplished!

The FPC General Assembly was held on June 20^th at 10 am. What was special about it this year was that the meeting took place over videoconference, taking into account the constraints related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Executive committee members gathered in the meeting room at the FPC headquarters with some of our tech team, who organized camera angles and microphones, prepared for any potential questions and screen sharing. The rest of the team tuned into the videoconference to verify the number of members attending and collect votes… The fact that each person took over a particular job helped divide out the stress level. We did not run into any major problems despite the challenge of hosting a videoconference.

The legal formalities were thus completed. The acceptance of new members, the progress report from the director, the actual and project budgets, the mission’s strategic objectives for 2020-2025… were put to a vote. We are grateful for the involvement of each of the association’s members.

Another extraordinary general assembly is being planned for Saturday, October 10^th. We hope that this time, however, it might be held in person even though everything went well last Saturday. We will be happy to be able to meet together again and converse over a friendly and fraternal meal.
