Mission FPC

A solidarity project for
FPC missionaries

The social treatment working group recommended in its conclusions the establishment of a solidarity fund for permanent staff and to extend it to retired staff and associate co-workers.

A small team was formed to define the outlines and operation of this fund to be able to react quickly when a financial or material situation requires it.

Anyone who finds themselves in financial difficulty following an unforeseen situation, will now be able to make a request for help. This will essentially be for costs that cannot be covered by another organization or family.

The person concerned must complete an aid request form and send it to the fund management team, which will decide on the amount to be paid. The assistance may be partial or meet the entire need.

One of the challenges is that the fund to be known and abounded. Even if the fund management team is not responsible for its replenishment, it is concerned about it. It can take initiatives to publicize it or organize collections at various gatherings.

Topping up a fund makes sense because we know that there are and will be emergency situations. We want to plan ahead and not just seek “help” when requests come in.

Since solidarity concerns everyone, it seems good to us that potential beneficiaries participate in a matching contribution on a voluntary basis.

In recent months, as we pondered this, I read Proverbs 4.26: “Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways.”

This is what we have sought to do, so that this fund applies clear biblical principles. In the same spirit, we have defined objective and transparent award criteria.

If you want to show your solidarity with an FPC full time personnel in temporary financial difficulty, write to solidarite@missionfpc.fr or scan the QR code to give to the fund by HelloAsso. We will explain everything to you!
