An Ascension Weekend to Deepen the Father-Son Relationship

This trip was organized by the organization Vilodec. Eleven fathers came together with their sons for a period of adventure, games and reflection at a comfortable cabin in the heart of the Vosges mountain range.

What does it mean to be a father? How do you be a good son? God invites us to prosper in our respective roles while inspiring us as children of God.

The schedule was perfect: an abundance of Legos, a soccer field, packed lunches and a barbeque… On Saturday, a big excursion involving head-to-head, father-son challenges: mazes, eating grasshoppers, climbing a mountain, discussing the suggested topics…

“It was a memorable weekend spending time with my son!” one of the fathers expressed. “When I get home, I’m going to go talk to all the fathers in my church to recommend signing up for next time,” another said.
