What struck me was how well the association’s churches and church-planting teams were represented – only two were missing – and the good spirit among those present both in the sharing and the AGM. The Lord enabled us to experience relationships that were both harmonious and beneficial. The feedback was unanimous: we need to have times of fellowship and prayer in order to bear our burdens and the difficulties faced by leaders and churches.
Two lacks were discussed: the rather fragile structures of the association requiring a reform of the binome/trinome in the committee and the need for a youth department in order to follow-up the young generation in our association.
I would also underline the fact that elders of the churches are increasingly asking to be accompanied or supervised from outside. It’s encouraging to see how we are becoming more and more aware of our interdependence and the limitations of going it alone.
Finally, there were several references to mutualisation projects within the FEF (French Evangelical Federation). We wish to make good use of the resources God has placed at the disposal of His church within the FEF and in future we as APC-FPC network will be getting involved as a matter of principle.
